My decision to become a dog trainer evolved when I became frustrated by training methods being offered in my area. I've always naturally wanted to train my dogs without the use of choke chains, prong collars, electric shock, or other methods that involve invoking fear or pain. My internet search for dog-friendly methods led me to the website for Animal Behavior College. Intrigued by what they had to offer, I signed up! After attending classes with my mentor trainer and learning all about positive reinforcement training methods, I fell in love! Imagine, training your dog with scientifically-proven methods and never having to cause fear, pain, or undue stress to your beloved pet! I was hooked!!
I graduated the Animal Behavior College course in 2004 with honors and have not stopped learning ever since. I spend all of my spare time reading or watching video, going to seminars, and keeping up with my Yahoo groups---- all about dog behavior and training.
As your dog-training instructor, my goal is to help you communicate your expectations to your dog through dog-friendly training methods and help you come to a mutual understanding without the use of force, intimidation, or pain.
